# Intro to Radio

FRS (Family Radio Service) and GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) radios are recommended for club activities to communicate between cars on cruises.

The following videos are presented in hope to answer some common questions about radio in general.

The official club channel on FRS radios is Channel 8 Privacy code 6 or frequency 467.5625 and ctcss is 82.5

When buying a radio we recommend radios with USB charging for easy charging in your vehicle. Without USB charging most radios require propitiatory charging cables or cradles.
